JOHN DIXON

INTERN ARCHITECT

John Dixon (DIK-SEN)

A graduate of Kent State University, John always felt close to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, he is picking up the old legacy of emigrating from the city of Steel and now finds himself in the City of Trees. A avid fan of travelling John is relishing in discovering the unique character of Boise. In his graduate studies John focused on emergent typologies of urban architecture and Ecumenopolis , the not so fictive image of a planetary city, in order to better understand and inform the design of todays cities.

John is excited to continue his experience in architecture with Slichter | Ugrin, Architecture. Having previously worked on single family and multi family residential in Cleveland and the surrounding cities, the booming market of Boise provides ample opportunity to work on what matters for John, providing quality spaces for people and communities to dwell.

If you can’t reach John then the best place to look is the nearest cliff or mountain. As an avid Rock Climber John finds delight in finding the quiet places of the world, while also dangling precariously from his fingertips.
